USB FULFILLMENT SERVICES

USB duplication and fulfillment services

Your Data. Your Workflow. Our Production and Fulfillment.

USBCopier provides custom USB, SD and microSD production and fulfillment services for organizations that need more than bulk duplication.

We can receive digital orders and content, verify incoming data, produce the required media, apply hardware-level write protection when required, print or label the device, prepare individual or bulk shipments, capture tracking information and provide proof the work was completed.

For more complex applications, our in-house software development capabilities allow us to integrate USB production into an existing customer workflow rather than requiring the customer to completely change the way they operate.

From 10 pieces for a specialized seminar to thousands of individually processed orders, the workflow can be built around the application.

Unique Data

Different content can be written to individual devices based upon the customer’s order or production information.

Hardware Read-Only

Supported USB, SD and microSD media can be hardware write protected after the required content is loaded and verified.

Custom Workflows

Our in-house software development capabilities allow production to integrate with the way your organization already operates.

More Than USB Duplication

Traditional duplication starts with a master and produces identical copies.

Fulfillment can be much more sophisticated.

A customer may have hundreds of orders where every USB device requires different content. Another customer may need 500 identical microSD cards produced, verified, write protected and shipped. A medical organization may have recurring production jobs with different content, quantities, printing requirements and shipping schedules.

USBCopier can accommodate each of these workflows.

From a Digital Order to a Physical USB Device

One of the biggest challenges with custom USB fulfillment is maintaining the relationship between the digital order and the physical device being produced.

USBCopier has developed production systems where an incoming customer order becomes a production job automatically.

For example, a unique order identifier can be imported along with information identifying the required digital content. The associated data is downloaded and its size verified before the order enters the production queue.

When production begins, a barcode on the physical USB device is scanned. That scan establishes the relationship between the physical device, the production job and the data intended for that order.

The data is then written to the assigned device and the completed operation is confirmed. The same workflow can trigger label production and capture shipping information.

The result is a traceable chain between the customer’s original order and the physical media delivered to the recipient.

A typical USBCopier fulfillment workflow:

ORDER
→

DATA
→

DEVICE
→

VERIFY
→

PROTECT
→

LABEL
→

SHIP
→

TRACK
→

Not every customer needs this level of automation. The important point is that USBCopier has the software, duplication technology and production experience to build workflows when the application requires it.

Hardware Write Protection

Keep Delivered Content Read-Only

For many fulfillment applications, loading the correct content is only half of the requirement.

The content also needs to remain intact after the media leaves our facility.

USBCopier can configure supported USB flash drives, SD cards and microSD cards as hardware-level read-only media after the required content has been loaded and verified.

This is fundamentally different from using a Windows permission, file attribute, registry setting or software utility to simulate write protection.

The write restriction is implemented through the storage controller or media configuration.

Once configured as read-only, the protected media prevents normal host write commands from modifying, deleting, overwriting or reformatting the protected storage.

For paid digital content, this means the delivered content remains on the device rather than being accidentally erased or reformatted by the recipient.

For medical, security, industrial and controlled-data applications, hardware write protection provides an additional level of data integrity because the media delivered to the end user remains in its intended read-only state.

USB Fulfillment for Medical and Healthcare Organizations

Medical and healthcare organizations often require more control over removable media than a conventional duplication service can provide.

USBCopier supports recurring medical fulfillment programs where content, production quantities, device identification and shipping requirements can change from one job to the next.

A medical training or seminar program, for example, may require only 10 USB drives for one event and 1,000 for another. Content can be supplied for each seminar, loaded and verified, while the physical USB devices are printed to correspond with the appropriate seminar or class.

Production and shipping do not have to follow the same schedule. Orders can be processed throughout the week, staged after completion and shipped on a specific day according to the customer’s established workflow.

Read-Only Media for Medical Applications

For medical applications requiring controlled read-only media, hardware write protection can be incorporated directly into the production process.

After approved content has been loaded and verified, supported media can be configured as read-only. The restriction is implemented at the hardware/controller level rather than relying upon software running on the recipient’s computer.

Content Management  +  Media Production  +  Data Verification  +  Hardware Write Protection  +  Fulfillment

For organizations distributing medical software, training materials, documentation, device-related content or other controlled information, the goal is straightforward: produce the correct media, with the correct content, in the required quantity, and deliver it according to the organization’s established process.

Individual Fulfillment or Bulk Production

Not every fulfillment program requires individually streamed data.

USBCopier also provides conventional bulk production and fulfillment for USB, SD and microSD media.

A security technology company, for example, may provide branded microSD cards and a production image. USBCopier can load the supplied content across the required quantity of cards, verify the production process, configure supported cards as read-only and ship the completed media.

This allows customers to outsource the production work without giving up specialized requirements such as data verification or hardware write protection.

Production volumes can range from small specialized runs to significantly larger recurring jobs.

SD and microSD Fulfillment

USBCopier capabilities extend beyond USB flash drives.

SD and microSD media can also be incorporated into fulfillment programs, including bulk duplication, data verification and hardware write protection.

Specialized SD & microSD Capability: For specialized applications, USBCopier also offers programmable CID capabilities on supported SD and microSD media.

CID programming is a specialized service and is covered in greater detail within our SD and microSD duplication services.

Your Workflow Does Not Have to Fit Into a Box

Every fulfillment program is different.

Some customers simply need a file duplicated to several hundred devices and shipped once a week. Others need individual orders automatically downloaded, matched with uniquely identified USB devices, processed, labeled, tracked and shipped directly to individual recipients.

USBCopier supports both.

Our in-house software development and duplication technology give us the flexibility to develop custom production workflows and scale those workflows as order volume grows.

There will always be technical and operational requirements that need to be defined by both sides. Our objective is not to force every customer into the same fulfillment model.

The objective is to find the practical middle ground between your existing workflow and an efficient, reliable USB production process.

Proof of Performance

A fulfillment program should provide more than a tracking number.

Depending upon the workflow, USBCopier can maintain records showing key production events from the moment an order enters the system through final shipment.

✓ The order was received.

✓ The required data was downloaded.

✓ The incoming data was verified.

✓ The correct physical media was assigned.

✓ The data load was completed.

✓ Write protection was applied when required.

✓ The shipment was created.

✓ Tracking information was captured.

This creates a documented production history connecting the customer’s digital order with the physical media that was produced and shipped.

Let’s Build the Right Fulfillment Workflow

USB fulfillment does not have to mean sending a master drive and receiving a box of identical copies.

It can mean unique data for every order.

It can mean hardware-level read-only media.

It can mean branded USB devices for recurring medical seminars.

It can mean hundreds of write-protected microSD cards for a security application.

Or it can mean integrating USB production directly into an existing ordering and data-delivery system.

Tell us what needs to happen between your digital order and the finished media.

USBCopier can help determine the most practical way to produce, protect, verify and fulfill it.
